False Chimneys
ITAS offers 2 - 8m false chimneys that can be installed on rooftops or terraces.  It includes a self supporting mast equipped with a ladder tether rail.

A metallic structure is attached to the mast and it supports the chimney.

Description   4.5" (114 mm) diameter self supporting mast equipped with a ladder and tether rail.
Antenna Support   3 sector panel antenna system with a maximum antenna dimension of  6.5 feet x 6.3 inches (2m x 16cm).

Materials   Mast: Steel Fe 430 B (UNI EN 10025); other standards can be used.
The nuts & bolts are of class 6.8.

Description   The false chimney is composed of fiberglass reinforced polyester and resin.
Fire resistance   Class 1
Temperature   The temperature range for use is -40 to +347° F (-40 to +175° C).
RF Propagation   The insertion loss is < 0.4 dB in the 400 - 2200 MHz frequency range.

Advertising Billboard Masts

ITAS offers advertising billboard support towers that integrate with the antenna sites.  Maybe used in shopping centers, industrial zones or in urban zones.

Our billboard masts are composed of a self supporting tubular style tower with a height range of 39 - 116 feet (12 - 36 m).  The billboard size is 157 sqft (15m˛) on each side. Each side may be lit and the billboard can incorporate 6 panel antennas and 3 one foot microwave links.

Support Structure

Description

  Self supporting tubular style tower with a height range of 39 - 116 feet (12 - 36 m).  It is modular and the number of pieces depends on the required finished height of the site.
The tower and antenna supports are made of galvanized steel.

  6 panel antenna system and 3 microwave links.

Sway

  1° max at 62 mph (100 km/h)
Materials   Mast:  Steel Fe 510 C (UNI EN 10025); other standards can be used.
The nuts & bolts are of class 6.8 .

The increasing number of Base Stations in rural areas has become a sensitive issue, particularly with regard to environmental preservation of historic/touristic sites and nature preserves.  To integrate base station installations with the surrounding environment ITAS has introduced a line of artificial trees assisting deployment of antennas with superstructures of heights from 13 - 117 ft (4 - 36 m).  Other dimensions are available.

General Description

 

The Tree Trunk

The artificial tree trunk consists of a conical steel mast composed of several sections fitted and bolted together.  The number of sections is determined by the required height. The trunk is covered with fire resistant plastic material reinforced with fiberglass.  This material is resistant to UVA rays and atmospheric agents and is very similar to natural tree bark.  Realism is achieved by addition of artificial branches.

The Branches


The artificial pine branches are composed of fiberglass pipes in various diameters achieving  the tapered irregular appearance of natural pine branches.  Needle tufts are added to the branches simulating actual foliage.  For palm trees the artificial branches consist of a fiberglass stalk and plastic leaves shaped and colored like natural leaves. The Venetian Cypress foliage is formed by a wire mesh structure covered with artificial leaves and small branches. The use of plastic and fiberglass materials for artificial leaves and branches ensures excellent RF propagation.
 

The Antennas

 

Depending to the site configuration, the antennas are installed at the top on a central steel rod or on special galvanized arms which are painted the same color as the branches. The arrangement of the foliage entirely conceals the panel antennas.

The standard configuration is three 6.5 ft (2 m) panel antennas; however, by reconfiguring the branch arrangement, it is possible to install six or nine panel antennas or microwave links.

The Cables
 

The feeder cables are installed in the "trunk" and are not visible. Cable output is located at the base of the trunk and can be located either below ground level or on the side of the trunk.  For the Venetian Cypress the cables are installed in a vertical cable tray inside the foliage. Access is possible via an internal vertical ladder.

 
Foundations

"Trunks" are attached with steel bolts connected to buried reinforced concrete bases.  Underground access is provided for feeder cable output.

Installation
 

For ease of installation the trunk can be preassembled at the factory. The foliage is assembled on site by inserting the branches into special steel shanks welded to the support structure of the "trunk". The tree top assembly can be installed either with a cherry picker or it can installed prior to raising the trunk.
